One blood, one people, one voice

Tiananmen Square came by without so much as a whisper. On the heels I can not help but feel part of this green movement to support free elections in Iran. I know full well what is happening right in front of us empowered by technology.
I am moved by men and women defying authority, holding signs 'Where is my Vote' I wonder would my own countrymen be so bold? Then I think back to 2000 when our own President lost the popular vote...

In 2004 I met with Bala Pillai who had the forum sites on Malaysia.net, Indonesia.net, and many others, I worked through the Christmas Holiday season with our IT partner Scott Farrell of IC Consulting to make sure the forums were up and available for information to the victims of the Boxing Day Tsunami. These events and the many discussions I held with Bala painted a picture in my mind about the importance of Social Media in emerging markets and countries where freedom to speak was oppressed.

I have always felt that the ultimate victory against Tyranny will be with the power of free communication rather than bombs or guns.

This is why as a passionate entrepreneur of social media for over 7 years I feel directly involved.

Our world, a planet of many nations, languages, cultures, borders is now reduced to a common village square- where the common voice, yes even the smallest one is heard.

We are the same.

One blood, one people, one voice.

it may just take more revolutions and more time for us all to realize

that all our hearts beat as one.
